Prior to use, make certain that each tiedown meets the requirements of your Purchase Orderm and that it hasn't been damaged in shipment.While in use, make certain that your units are not damaged by:
1.Cutting from sharp edges of the load or adjacent equipment. 2.Snagging, usually caused by nails or protrusions. 3.Excessive Wear on eyes and body lashing. 4.Pinching or Crushing. 5.Overloading. 6.Heat Damage. Synthetic webbing should be limited to a maximum of 190F temperature. Avoid damage by welding sparks and arching. 7.Chemical damage such as acids that attack nylon, and alalies which degrade polyester. 8.Knots. Tiedowns have a substantial reduction in strength when tied into knots. 9.Enviornmental Degration. Ultraviolet rays, such as sunlight and arc welding, degrade the strength of the synthetic web. 10.Foreign Matter. Abrasives such as sand, grit, and metal chips will cut and abrade webbing internally and externally.
